Las week I asked what people thought the key to selling a complicated offer was.

Many people said the solution was to sell the outcomes.

And while I understand the sentiment, this is exactly why buyers will sit in your world for months or years before buying.

Because high intent buyers want to know HOW.

How will you help them get results.

This doesn't mean you're meant to give them every last detail of the process.

It means they need to understand your philosophy/worldview, your method, etc.

Without it, you become a commodity business.

One of MANY options.

Which leaves you constantly fighting to compete.

Why? because they're comparing what they can see.

And when what they can see is the same as 100 other options....

They default to price.

Because if both Jack AND Jill can help me write great copy, but Jack charges half as much, that's an easy yes.

This is why selling a complicated offer isn't about stripping it down to the outcomes.

It's not about niching,

it's about turning your worldview, your years of expertise and the nuance of your offer (the WHY it works) into an asset. 

One that people can see and understand.

And creating this doesn't have to be rocket science (even though there IS a science behind it)

It's about cutting the gem.

Knowing WHAT, HOW and WHEN to share each piece of your offer so people say "where have you been my whole life."
